Eloise Butler Wildflower Park with the Rowleys!

The wonderful nature center at the park -- Every single volunteer/ranger we have encountered at this tiny center has been kind, helpful, wonderful!! with kids. So impressed every time with this little park.

Lincoln got it both times -- What a picture man! (-:

This is the one where I threatened to take away Atticus' weekly allowance if he wouldn't uncross his arms and stop glaring at me. Well...the arms are uncrossed...and he's not looking at me. Moody 7-year-olds -- argh.

Then we headed over to the playground by the nearby beach to eat lunch and play. Somehow, like always, "Mom, could we just put our feet in the water?" ended up with Lincoln jumping fully-clothed off the dock into the lake. And then it was a free-for-all. Oh well. What are you going to do?

Vicki tracing shadows (-:

Keira was cold! (It was pretty nippy that morning!) -- and she discovered very warm sand...

I LOVE that first "wet" picture of Lincoln...and the throwback shot of Deke. :)

While at the Iowa State Fair, Jason was just sharing with the family the story about the time Brad jumped into the lake up in MN from the dock, fully clothed, and timed just as Tom and Doug were coming back in from fishing. Tom was not pleased.

Soooo....like father like son.

Hahaha! And that's why I love your family. Did you know my kids jumped in, fully clothed at a baptism while we were there? Good grief.
