| Then it was milking time! So Tim let the kids help "lime" the milking center -- keeps the cows from slipping on the slick floors and then the lime gets carried back to the pasture which is good for the soil/plants (thus the cows (-:). |

| Atticus tried milking the cows by hand and mechanically. He was very enthusiastic. It wasn't hard to see how my kids would thrive in this kind of life. But it also wasn't hard to see how overwhelming running a dairy farm is -- wow. Freaking amount of work and not enough time or money to do it. |
