Fireworks on the 5th of July...in New Prague, MN

The kids were a big hot mess by 7 pm on the 4th of July. So Brad found some fireworks on July 5th way out in New Prague, MN.  It was an absolute beautiful night -- a tiny bit cool with a soft breeze. And the little town was so much like the towns Brad and I saw fireworks in growing up. People were friendly. There was tons! of space for the boys to run around beforehand. And they had classic rock and country songs synced up to the fireworks display. The only thing missing for me was a bandshell and a community band playing patriotic standards. All the kids loved it (as soon as Thea Belle understood that the no one was getting hurt by the fireworks -- she thought they were bomb explosions -- but were only "sparklers in the sky"). Yay!

Brad makes fireworks happen for me -- hee-hee! (-:

The only photo of the boys -- they were playing tag and wrestling like..well, like brothers do until the show started.
