Atticus enjoyed going to vacation Bible school at Hiawatha Church (the Miller's church). Atticus loved the singing and crafts especially. I loved that he had our friend Laura Joslin for his main teacher and that Atticus really seemed to be hearing what they were teaching this year. His favorite song was basically just straight Scripture -- Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and will all your strength and love your neighbor as yourself. The kids were given a music CD at the beginning of the week with all the songs and some 15 tracks of funny jungle sound effects at the end -- which Atticus and Dietrich thought were hilarious especially the jaguar growling for 2 minutes (which they requested be played a dozen times in a row every time we sat down in the car) -- strange children.
