Faces

Some day last week, Atticus drew a face -- the first time he has ever done this. I was elated. Most of these faces have zig-zaggy mouths because they are scary people. He has also been fascinated with scary things -- I think because he is trying to work through various fears...and focusing on scary things gives him a concentrated opportunity to really feel the fear he is feeling. I'm sure he isn't thinking it out that deliberately, but still.

Anyway, I love the people showing up in his drawings -- and his dinosaurs and monsters are comically wonderful.
