Gently Tumbling Along...

The day my mom left, Tuesday March 13th, Atticus and I were a bit lonely and restless with the quiet and summer-like respite of weather. So we came and had a picnic lunch with Brad downtown and then went off to the Como Park Zoo. Atticus is finally old enough to enjoy watching the animals, and, as always, he adores watching people. We finished our trip by making our way through the new jungle bio-sphere. The giant turtles and murky jungle fish were his favorite part of this exhibit; the orangutans and giraffes were his favorites in the rest of the park.

With all the fine weather, Atticus finally needed "big kid" shoes for outdoor walking. His robeez (leather moccasins) just weren't holding up to wet pavement and mud slicks. I couldn't get his chubby feet to fit right in the Target shoes, so we had to make our way over to the kids Shoe Zoo. Navy Blue Converse All Stars were perfect on his feet -- nice and wide and soft on top, stable on the soles. And oh so stylish -- I'd like to say they fit his style -- but of course, what I mean is that they fit the style I like to dress him in (-: He likes walking with them and is getting alot of mileage out of them.
