My Folks Come for a Visit

My mom and dad came Sunday evening to visit for a couple days. Brad and I had a nice date night out to eat and to see Wes Anderson's newest movie, Darjeeling Limited. Monday I had my 35-week baby appt. My mom was able to come with me while my dad watched Sesame Street with Atticus and put him down for his morning nap. The baby is well and firmly headed downward (where we want him (-:). Then in the afternoon we went to the Como Zoo in St. Paul. Late afternoon my mom and I went to a couple of stores and ate out at favorite restaurant down in Edina. We came home around 7 pm. Atticus was put to bed, and my folks and Brad and I played Citadels and talked until late. A wonderful short visit. We'll see them in 9 days for Thanksgiving!!

Happy Chicken Day!

Atticus dressed up as a chicken -- thank you, Leah, for lending us the costume (-:

An evil chicken?

Waiting to trick or treat with daddy. Atticus and I made a happy pumpkin and a friendly bat for the door -- and I posted the first 20 of Martin Luther's 95 Theses in honor of Reformation Day -- mostly to make myself happy since I don't think any of the kids coming to the door cared what I had on the door (-:

The tiny pumpkin bucket Brad bought Atticus -- A. calls them "bump kins" -- and points and squeals whenever he sees them on people's front steps...

We took him to two neighbors on our street and then our friend Nora from the next block up came by with her folks. She wanted to wear her stethoscope with her ladybug costume. Her mama Tanya who's a nurse showed Atticus how it worked. He liked it.
