Touch a Truck

So Yesterday Aunt Caryl emailed me to let me know there was a special truck event at the local middle school in River Falls, WI (where Caryl & Leigh live, just into Wisconsin on the other side of St.Paul). It was a free community event where 50 big trucks were parked and open for kids to touch and sit in. AND a Chinook military helicopter circled the trucks and landed in the adjoining sports field. Aunt Caryl and Uncle Leigh were working in Minneapolis at the sports dome so they wouldn't be there, but we decided Atticus would love this so much we'd make a morning of it. So early this morning we headed over to historic St.Paul to eat a light breakfast and walk around a bit. Then we headed out to River Falls. Atticus' reactions were just what we were hoping for. He ran everywhere he went pointing and yelling "Drive! Drive!" and, generally brimming over with glee the way only Atticus can do. Dietrich had a great nap in the stroller. And we ended the morning with a late lunch at the Machine Shed. Wonderful -- Thank you, Caryl!
