A Fancy Fire Truck from his cousins Lisa & Jason, Ian & Ellie Carriere -- complete with moving ladder, doors that open, sirens, and a realistic, jointed fire fighter guy promptly dubbed "The Guy" by Atticus. "The Guy" ate breakfast with him -- Cheerios in a plastic lid and a tiny aluminum foil spoon. It's okay -- it's not a doll -- it's an "action figure" (-:
Table and Chairs from my folks (They gave him an ikea art easel later after they had arrived from Wisconsin.)The party for Brad's 30th and Atticus' 2nd begins around 11 am on Saturday morning. Leah Miller and the Rustads arrive...
Tanya Rustad, Laura Boismenue, & Kara (my sister-in-law) -- There were people in every corner...I never counted, but I think about 40 people showed up with kids everywhere. For awhile, the guys escaped out to grill in the back yard but it began to rain about an hour into the party. The overall impression it left was one of jolly chaos. A whirlwind of faces -- I missed talking with so many people and was unable to break the "Roar" to pray for the boys -- thankfulness for them existing and dedication of their souls into our Mighty Creator's Hands -- or to light the candles on the cookie cake and sing. But we did all those things that later...in the quiet of the trailing eddies, after everyone had left and we were just our little family.
Bedtime. Atticus had a hard time having the day end -- he had us bring his riding fire truck and gas station thing upstairs so he could touch it through his crib bars. Thank you everybody for loving Brad and Atticus and celebrating with us. Sorry to everyone I missed pictures of...you were seen and appreciated!!!
