Atticus has been noticing the birds singing outside. He gets so excited, says "Birdies!" and then skips in place saying "Happy! Happy!" trying to sing like a bird.
When we went for a walk today he noticed every airplane that went over and says "Airplane" so clearly now. He said "bus" this morning and then wanted to know if Daddy was on the bus. (He knows Daddy walks to the bus station in the morning and takes the bus to work.)
He loves putting his puzzles together from the vehicles "lunch box" Grandma Nancy gave him for Christmas. Last night he put the 4-piece Rocket together all by himself.
Last Friday evening Liz and Eric Berget came to hang out with us. They brought a couple guitars and we all played music together. I sat at the piano with Liz sharing my chord music (we're the B-team in the music-making endeavor, our men rock (-:). Anyway...suddenly in the middle of a Josh Ritter song, I hear a harmonica, in key and pretty well-done, coming from the middle of the guys' guitars. I turned and it's Atticus enthusiastically playing a harmonica completely in the spirit of the moment.
Tonight I took a bath with Dietrich. The first time I've ever done that with him. He loved floating and then after he got comfortable with the situation, he kicked and kicked with baby glee.
