The Boy Speaks!

This weekend Dietrich had a talking "break-through". He says "Love Bekah", "Love A-cus", "Dog", "Duck", "Truck", "Up", "All Done", "Thanks", "Please", "Welcome", "Dad", "Ma", "Cookie", "Oh, Wow!", "Butt" (used to talk about underwear, diapers, poop, and descending the stairs in a silly fashion). And just about anything else you ask him, he will give it a fair try (doesn't always sound exactly right and he says it very quietly, but still...).

Lincoln in Jumper for First Time

Dressing Up

The Saintly Millers

So last Tuesday evening the Millers and we went to the St. Paul Saints together courtesy of Brad's cousin Jason Van Arkel who is an announcer for the Lincoln Saltdogs and gave us tickets -- Thank you, Jason! We really didn't get to watch the game but we had fun visiting with each other and chasing the kids around. It was nice and cold -- sweatshirt weather in late June (?!) All the pictures in this post are from Leah -- Thank you (-:

The playground set-up right behind the family section at the ballpark. Nice idea.

Brad Trying to Sabotage My Pictures

This is a true emotional depiction of how much work it is to navigate three children...It is also the first of a slew of Bradley photos where he tries to sabotage my picture-taking.

But I persevered and got some good ones of my man anyway.

So handsome...

"Side" Trip to Visit the Snodgrai

Sunday afternoon/evening we traveled down to outside Cedar Rapids to visit our friends the Snodgrasses who are home from the mission field to have their third child. Cordelia was born 5 days before our evening together. Nathan & Shelley lived with us for a short time before they moved overseas. At the time, they only had Nora and we only had Atticus. Shelley and I found out we were pregnant with our second children on the same day. They are staying at the "missionary house" next to the house where Nathan grew up with his FIVE brothers.

A ride on the tractor -- they have a few vintage tractors -- This one, a Minneapolis-Moline.

Atticus was a little unsure of the tractor when it first started up, but after being offered a ride and bravely accepting, he loved it.
