Atticus & the Mighty Trees

Atticus and I found a wonderful fairytale spot -- four mighty trees wedded at their bases into a perfect fort -- most especially for a one year old.

Jonathan & Robyn Visit Us on Their Honeymoon!

My brother Jonathan and new sister-in-law Robyn honored us by stopping for two days toward the end of their honeymoon. We were able to take them to the infamous Mall of America and out to dinner to Buca di Beppos downtown. It must be mentioned that we introduced Robyn to the game of Settlers of Catan and on her very first go at this saga of a game, she beat us all squarely -- and it was definitely an evenly matched competition -- all of us were "in the running" by the "last leg" of the game. But the gold definitely went to Rockin' Robyn.

After dinner we all walked over to the Walker Art Museum Sculpture Gardens.

Atticus spied the Minneapolis "signature" sculpture -- the quirky cherry in the spoon water fountain.

This sculpture is cast bronze! Fantasticly realistic rendering of sticks and logs.
