Sunlight Sklizes through the Window Blinds Across My Handsome Introspective Boy

Brian Murnion Visits from Montana

Brian Murnion, Brad's erstwhile roommate, and our mutual honorary "little" brother journeyed back to his homeland from "the far country" of Billings, Montana. We were honored to have him as our house guest and spend a couple evenings together.

Grandma Nancy & Grandpa Tom Come to Visit

Atticus' dedication at our church -- Pastor John Erickson

Nancy and Tom came up to help us get our front tile in -- we got it laid (without sealant or grout) and then ran out of time. They are so amazing -- They are coming AGAIN next Friday for ONE day just to help us finish it up. AND Nancy got me an hour massage at a day spa and gave me time to get some errands done. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Atticus Watching Traffic and Trees in Front Yard

First shoes...and they keep his socks on -- even when he kicks wildly trying to get himself to sleep for a nap.

Atticus and the First Supper

Atticus had his first solid food (rice cereal and breastmilk -- tastes kinda like mildly sweet stuff with the consistency of humus) tonight at dinner. He was so tired from skipping nearly all his daytime naps that I almost postponed it another day, but he seemed interested when we offered it to so we jumped in. I'm impressed by how well he did. We'd been warned that little of it would actually get in and yet, he ate like he'd been doing this for weeks. He even wanted to hold onto the spoon himself. The sippy cup was no problem: I've been offering him a sip from a regular glass whenever he reaches for mine, so I think he just combined that with his professional sucking skills. So our boy reaches another of those milestone Firsts with what I hope is a long life of enjoyable eating ahead of him.
